Musheng won the first Prize
of the 2007 I.C.O.M.S International Composition Competition
(Turin, Italy)

The 25th International Composition Competition ICOMS - City of Turin, has been taken place at the Saluzzo High Music School, 1st July 2007. The winners are:
First prize: MUSHENG CHEN (China): Les franges du rêve I for flute in sol and harp. The winning composition will be presented by the Ensemble Europeo Antidogma Musica in the International Festival “Settembre Musica Torino-Milano”: 25 September 2007, 17 pm, Regal Small
Second prize: DAVID SCARCELLA (Italy): Transparencies for ensemble

Dedicated to shanghai Conservatoire of Music in Celedration of its 80th Anniversary
Musheng's new orchestra piece A Dream in the Peony Garden [Yun5], which was be co-commissioned by Shanghai Conservatory of Music and Young. Euro. Classic. The work could be regarded as the spirit reverberation of the composer for that ancient classic drama-Qunqu Opera The Peony Pavilion.
